'6 du mat dans le 6ix', Blxck Cxsper's latest song, and the first one 100% in French - is finally here!
Inspired by a true story, ‘6 du mat dans le 6ix’ is a story about instant chemistry. That feeling when you meet somebody for the first time yet it feels like you’ve known each other forever. That feeling when you never run out of things to talk about, that feeling when even in the silence, many things keep being said.
‘6 du mat’ sounds like if Aya Nakamura and Justin Bieber had a love child. Following Cxsper’s passion for mixing genres the same way they mix genders, ‘6 du mat’ features smokey vocals on an afro pop instrumental which brings summer temperatures in the middle of winter. A song in French, yes, but that tells a story through melodies as well, ensuring that even those who do not understand the lyrics will still be able to feel them.
The music video that accompanies the song introduces a new character to the Blxck Cxsper universe: Tokio. A young woman who works alongside Kylian at a bar and who seems determined to get close to them.
Two weeks after its release, '6 du mat dans le 6ix' already achieved some incredible milestones: over 30k streams on Spotify, placement in an official Apple Music playlist and the cover of the QReviews weekly playlist on Spotify!
